The second season of 'Darker than Black', titled 'Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor,' began airing, continuing the story with new characters and plot developments.
'Darker than Black: Gaiden', an original video animation (OVA) bridging the gap between the first and second seasons, was released to provide additional backstory.
The English dubbed version of 'Darker than Black' was released in North America, expanding its audience beyond Japan.
Season 1 was one of my favorite anime binges in a long time. Such a fun mix of thoughtfulness (movement through time), silliness, and cool scenes (The Ruins of The King's Tomb). I can't wait to watch season 2. I know it's airing as I write this, but I like taking in entire seasons at once if I can manage it.
