Ed and Lorraine Warren, the real-life paranormal investigators on whom the characters in Annabelle Comes Home are based, began their investigations in the early 1950s.
The Warrens investigated a case involving a Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle, which they claimed was possessed by a spirit, in the early 1970s.
The Annabelle film series, including Annabelle Comes Home, was created as a spin-off of The Conjuring universe, starting with the first Annabelle movie in 2014.
Annabelle Comes Home, the third installment in the Annabelle series, was released, further exploring the lore around the possessed Annabelle doll and the Warrens.
Toy Story 5 is way better than any 5th iteration of a series has any right to be. Sequels really can keep being good if you give them time. This was a blast for the whole family. It's been a long time since so much of the humor in a movie hit just perfectly. Dads and moms were laughing just as much as the kids. An awesome movie.
Watched this in theaters. Was a fun popcorn movie. I didn't like it as much as the first movie though. The nostalgia moments are a lot of fun for me, but the first movie had a ton of those too.
I need to rewatch this and see if it moves from a like to a favorite for me. I forget about it, see it mentioned, and remember that it was way better than I thought it was going to be. This is a great one to watch if you haven't yet.
