The player character, known as Anon, is digitized and arrives on The Grid as a security program tasked to investigate Clu’s uprising and save the ISOs.
Anon allies with Tron to confront Clu and his forces to restore balance to The Grid.
Major conflict takes place where Anon and Tron fight Clu's army to protect the ISOs and regain control of The Grid.
